Robert Chambers was born in 1950 in Washington, D.C, to F. Grant and Ellen Chambers. He was raised in District Heights, Maryland and Memphis, Tennessee. He accepted Christ in October of 1957, during ministry from Harold Harper, Sr., at Minnesota Ave. Gospel Chapel, Washington, DC.
Robert served in the US Army from 1969-1972. He graduated from university with an engineering degree in August of 1975. He worked as a mechanical engineer for several manufacturing companies in west Tennessee for 25 years.
Robert and Kathy (Howell) Chambers married in 1974 and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
He has served as an elder at 3 assemblies: Memphis, TN, Nokesville, VA, and Fayetteville, PA. He and his wife are currently in fellowship at the Greenwood Hills Bible Chapel in Fayetteville, PA.
