G.P. (George) Waugh (1922 - 2009)
George Waugh was born in Newarthill (Lanarkshire) on the 19th August 1922 and saved in Annbank (Ayrshire) Scotland in 1937. Throughout a very demanding secular career, he preached the gospel and ministered the Word extensively throughout the United Kingdom. With retirement, his ministry took him further afield to Australasia.
George always maintained a deep interest in the spread of the gospel abroad, having been associated with the Home and Foreign Mission Fund (latterly Interlink) for many years.
Failing health necessitated a move to Auchlochan House, a Christian care home in Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire and finally back to Ayrshire. He passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord in March 2009.
